A boat powered by green hydrogen is set to be presented at COP30, which will take place in Belém, the capital of Pará, in November 2025. The vessel is part of the JAQ Green Hydrogen project, led by Grupo Náutica in partnership with Itaipu Parquetec.

The Explorer H1, the initiative’s first major achievement, is 36 meters long and uses a hydro-jet system, allowing it to navigate in shallow waters.

The vessel is currently at a shipyard in Fortaleza, Ceará.

After the presentation of the Explorer H1, the second phase of the project will begin with the Explorer H2, a 50-meter vessel currently anchored in Guarujá, São Paulo.

Both vessels will be transformed into floating laboratories, classrooms, and technological platforms, aiming to promote research and environmental education.
